Verse of The Day

“Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.” (2 Timothy 1:13-14)

Biblical Knowledge

The Biblical Knowledge Summer Youth Program was founded by Samuel and Michelle Chance. The program was designed to shape the youth in the body of Christ with sound principals from the Word of God. The founders envisioned youth being excited to study God’s word. They were and are still dedicated to their mission to take this program to churches locally, nationally, and internationally.

From July 10, 2004 to September 4, 2004, the Biblical Knowledge pilot program fulfilled God’s plan. The results were successful in areas of participation, attendance, and completion. A system of responsibility was provided to the youth to improve social, organizational, and biblical skills. Over 30,000 scriptures were read and bible chapters memorized in their entirety. Activities such as pizza night, movie night, game shows, and an evening at the Baltimore Symphony were just a few of the events that contributed to sustaining a healthy Christian atmosphere without the involvement of worldly distractions.

During the eight-week period, participants were divided into three teams. Each team chose a name for their group; Christians in Action, Keepers of the Commandments, and Faith Keepers. Each team
member was responsible for recording assigned bible readings and team leaders made sure all assignment sheets were completed. Team members also earned points for reading the bible, memorizing bible chapters, and answering game show questions correctly. Like the show “It’s Academic” a game show scenario was implemented to test memorization and comprehension skills of all team members.

There were still other activities that were structured to help improve the health and overall well-being of our youth. They included: soccer, basketball, hiking, bowling, biking, and camping. A special thanks goes to all of the parent volunteers who helped make these activities a success.

It is also important to note that all of the youth advisors were available by phone, email, and for one-on-one counseling to provide emotional and spiritual support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In 2005, the Biblical Knowledge Youth Summer Program will expand to include the participation of churches in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. The program requirements will be more challenging and exciting.

Children of the King

Children of the King Children of the King (CK) is a youth and young adult choir from Baltimore, Maryland. These 18 youth range from age 7 to 23 years. They are comprised of the members of Fishers of Men Campaigners, Inc. Ministry where Reuben Chance is the Pastor. This group was formed back in 2001 and has been maturing musically, vocally and more importantly spiritually. This ordained group of young people is blessed to magnify Jesus and witness of His goodness through song.

Elect Lady Deborah Kelley is the Choral Director. She is currently studying music/vocals at Community College of Baltimore County. Deborah has a keen sense of sound and arrangement. She has written songs for CK including their self-entitled theme song. She encourages CK members to write lyrics, even compose music for the group. That's the uniqueness of this group. In conjunction with Deborah's expertise, Deacon Samuel Chance handles the musical composition and arrangement aspect as Music Director. Deacon Chance has been playing the keyboard, piano and guitars for many years.

Their repertoire consists of songs that Christ Jesus has given its members, the directors and/or ministers in Fishers of Men. People from churches and local coffeehouses have been blessed to hear "Make a Joyful Noise", "Seek Ye First", and "Get Saved." CK delivers a variety of musical styles including contemporary and a cappella coupled with two and three part harmonies.

In spite of snow, ice and cold weather faced during February 2003, CK pressed their way into the studio. On Friday, February 21, 2003, CK released their first CD single (completed CD in working progress). This CD features "The Heart of a Servant" which was written by their choral directory Deborah Kelley. Initially, The Heart of a Servant was dedicated to Bishop J. Carrington, Sr. of Springs of Refreshing Fellowship of Churches. The extension of this dedication has gone out to those pastors and ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ who truly have a heart to serve and also to the President of the United States and our troops.

This is just the beginning of what the Lord is doing in this ministry. CK is being played on local radio stations (i.e. WBGR and WRBS' Distinctively Gospel program), Internet broadcasts, local stores, and in the homes of those in the US, England and the West Indies. CK's vision is to see devils cast out, the sick healed and souls running to get saved through this music ministry while spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. To produce and distribute countless CDs worldwide and conduct anointed ministering concerts is their goal. This ministry believes in balance, not only will they minister to others, but also help the members with educational grants.

Elect Ladies of God

Pastor Rudolph and Lottie Chance founded the Elect Ladies of God Ministry in 1988. The gathering of the Elect group is not only to give women a voice in the Church, but also to create an atmosphere in which women can talk to women about anything.

Our mission is to feed, clothe, house and educate the world.  This will be accomplished by creating programs and opening facilities that will provide access, motive and opportunity for the hungry, the unclothed and the uneducated to be introduced to the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Women's Book Club

The FMDM Women’s Book Club has been established to promote fellowship and discussion of the Word of God. This club is open to any woman or girl who is interested in participating. We will meet every 90 days (3 months) at someone’s home for fellowship, discussion, and lite fare. An announcement will be made prior to all gatherings including time, date, meeting place, and book of the Bible to be read & discussed.

Sonship International

Sonship International is an organization designed to meet the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of men. One of our goals is to teach men to consistently communicate effectively.

End Time Messengers

Rudolph and Lottie Chance were members of a group called The Gospel Silver Tones. They traveled throughout Guyana, South America singing in churches, religious events, birthday parties, weddings, the City Hall, and even on the radio.

Reuben Chance, their oldest son, began playing the guitar at the age of 6. His teacher, Mr. Harris, was the guitarist and one of the singers for The Gospel Silver Tones. Like his parents, Reuben performed at schools, events, churches, concerts, and radio competitions.

In 1973, the family migrated to the United States. Thereafter, Reuben continued playing and singing in churches throughout the Baltimore, Maryland area. It was the Lord Jesus who gave End Time Messengers their name; the end-time message is in the music.

Later, other family members joined in. Their anointed voices blend the unusual sound of the End Time Messengers. The music and vocals are a blend of calypso, reggae, rock and country.
The End Time Messengers are available to minister in song and word the end-time message, reaching souls for Christ Jesus.

Fishers of Men Christian Academy

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

Mount Zion College was established in September 1999 through a vision God gave Pastor Williams Tsokwa of reaching great leaders of tomorrow with the gospel while they are still youths today, so we can bring about the desired change we have been long praying for in our Government.

The School started with two Classes J.S.S I and S.S.S. I in a temporarily rented apartment building. The school was already growing to the population of 200 when a communal crisis here (Nigeria) in 2001 affected it and scattered the students. It was so difficult keeping the school going, but God helped us never to give-up, despite pains and difficulties.

We move to the present permanent site in May 2004.  Presently the school has a population of about 300 students and 15 teaching Staff. In 2006, Mount Zion College was renamed to Fishers of Men Christian Academy and is currently under reconstruction.
